Dr. Arjuna Sathiaseelan is an entrepreneur and academic leader whose work spans artificial intelligence, space technology, connectivity, and sustainable development.
At Cambridge Judge Business School, he co-leads the Space Economy Initiative — advancing affordable, inclusive and sustainable access to space — and serves as Technical Lead of the Frugal AI Hub, exploring how AI can be deployed in resource-constrained environments for social good.
As CEO and Co-Founder of GAIUS Networks / Flipped.ai, a NYU spinout, Arjuna has built an AI-powered talent intelligence platform trusted by 300+ enterprises worldwide. He is also the Founder of the Saving Voices Initiative, dedicated to preserving endangered languages and cultural heritage through technology.
A recognised voice on global connectivity and internet inclusivity, he served as Founder and Chair of the IRTF Global Access to the Internet for All (GAIA) research group, influencing international standards and connecting over one million marginalised users to the internet.
Arjuna holds a PhD in Networking from King's College London (2005), an MSc in Computing and Internet Systems from King's College London (2001), and a Bachelor's in Computer Science and Engineering from NIT Trichy, India (2000).
He was awarded the prestigious King's Distinguished Alumnus International Impact Award (2026) and the Young Alumni Achiever Award from NIT Trichy (2016).
